Walking To School And Car Parking

We are all aware of the advantages of walking to school, for both children and adults. The Governors wish to encourage children to walk to school whenever possible — and at least once each week.

Parking is restricted close to the school and the roads outside the school gates (off Sweets Way, Friern Barnet Lane and Orchard Avenue) can become very congested. We ask you to avoid driving into Sweets Way at any time.

Parking around the school is of particular concern and the safety of the children is our first priority. Please park with care and consider the residents in Sweets Way, Orchard Avenue and Queens Avenue. Please DO NOT park on the pavements or obstruct residents’ driveways and  DO NOT park on yellow zigzag lines under any circumstances. Please observe the unofficial one-way system on Queens Avenue.

Alternatively, parents/carers could park on Loring Road or Church Way, both off Myddelton Park as these streets may be less congested.

CARS MAY NOT ENTER THE SCHOOL GROUNDS FOR ANY REASON, INCLUDING TURNING — UNLESS YOU ARE A DISABLED BADGE HOLDER.

Please bring the disabled badge to the school office, where we’ll take a copy for our records.
